Our reusable facial rounds are made from blends of Bamboo Cotton, Organic Cotton and Hemp Cotton. They are the perfect alternative to replacing disposable cotton wool pads! Our fabrics are sustainable, biodegradable and plastic free. Even our label tags are printed on paper embedded with flower seeds, so you can bury them in your garden after unpacking!
What’s wrong with disposable cotton wool pads?
Regular disposable cotton wool pads use 10 000 litres of water per Kg and use the highest amount of pesticides while growing, polluting fresh water and the cotton itself. Once used, they are disposed into landfills, rivers and oceans.
Moving away from these single use items saves money, is more sustainable and this reusable alternative is the more eco-friendly choice.

The better alternative materials:
- Organic Cotton doesn’t use irrigation water, synthetic fertilizer or pesticides and is GMO free.
- Hemp is very quick to grow, yields roughly 14x more yarn per acre of land than cotton, and requires less pesticides, fertilizer and irrigation than cotton.
- Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on earth, it is a grass that doesn’t need to be replanted after it’s harvested. Bamboo can yield up to 60x more fabric per acre than cotton! It doesn’t need any pesticides or fertilizers, nor does it need irrigation water. Bamboo fibre is naturally antibacterial and hypoallergenic!
The Msulwa Reusable Facial Rounds
In your pack you will receive a total of 10 reusable facial rounds:
- 4x Organic Cotton & Hemp Blend rounds, great to exfoliate your face by applying your favourite toner or cleanser.
- 2x Black Bamboo Blend rounds, these are soft and perfect for your sensitive skin and are best for removing dark makeup around your eyes.
- 4x Bamboo/Velvet Cotton rounds are silky soft and gentle on the skin, providing an antibacterial and hypoallergenic feature, protecting your skin from bacteria.
- 1x Organic Cotton Travel Bag, used for storing your clean and dry reusable rounds.
- 1x Organic Cotton Laundry Mesh Wash Bag, used for storing all your used rounds, either to hang and dry or to throw into your next laundry load.
How to use and wash:
Our reusable facial rounds can be used for removing make up, cleansing the face, exfoliation and applying facial masks and creams.
Simply use the rounds dry or with warm water. You can then use them with or without a makeup remover, toner or cleanser to clean your face and neck. After using your round, you can easily wash them under the tap with some soap to remove make up marks and then hang them out to dry, or put them in your mesh wash bag to wash them with the rest of your laundry.
They are perfect to use up to 1000 times each, meaning your one pack of 10 rounds will give you over 10 000 uses, saving over 10 000 disposable cotton pads!
Each facial round has an 8-8,5cm diameter, three-layered and fit perfectly in your hand to clean your skin- they are suitable for all skin types.
The travel bag and wash bag are made of organic cotton and both have a size of 15cm x 18cm.
